The recent completion of the Mount Lindesay Highway Upgrade through Jimboomba marks a significant milestone for local residents, freight operators, and daily commuters. The team at Bruce Smith Concreting is proud to have played a key role in bringing it to life.
Contracted by See Civil on behalf of Queensland’s Department of Transport and Main Roads (TMR), our team delivered critical concrete infrastructure packages along the busy corridor between Johanna Street and South Street.

The Big Picture: Transforming a Growing Corridor
The Mount Lindesay Highway is a vital lifeline connecting Logan, the Scenic Rim, and the broader SEQ region. With thousands of vehicles passing through Jimboomba every day, duplicating the highway from two to four lanes was essential to reduce congestion and improve road safety.
Delivering major civil works in a live traffic environment requires careful planning, strict safety protocols, and seamless collaboration between head contractors and subcontractors. Working alongside See Civil, our focus was delivering durable, high-quality concreting packages built to withstand heavy daily use for decades to come.
Our Scope of Work
Our crew was on-site delivering specialised civil concreting across three primary project areas.

Improving safety for pedestrians and cyclists was a core objective of the upgrade. Bruce Smith Concreting poured new and upgraded concrete footpaths, helping connect local businesses, service roads, and transit stops safely.

Function meets design along the centre of the upgraded highway. We executed concrete stencilling across the highway’s median infills, providing a clean, low-maintenance, and visually polished finish through the heart of Jimboomba.

Major road upgrades rely heavily on robust subsurface infrastructure. Our team constructed a large concrete culvert at Johanna Street, providing essential stormwater drainage capabilities designed to protect the highway and surrounding properties during heavy Queensland rain events.
